Cushion Cut Moissanite Rings
The cushion cut is a square or slightly rectangular stone with rounded corners, named for its pillow-like outline. It is one of the oldest shapes still in use, which gives it a vintage, romantic character. Its larger facets show moissanite's rainbow fire clearly.
Most of our cushion rings frame the center with a halo, which makes it look larger and repeats the soft outline. Pavé bands and three stone layouts add more sparkle along the finger. For a square with sharp corners, compare our princess cut rings, or browse all engagement rings. Our guide to engagement ring shapes compares all nine.
Cushion Cut Moissanite Rings FAQ
What is the difference between cushion and princess cuts?
Both are square. A cushion has rounded corners and a softer, vintage look. A princess has sharp corners and a crisp, modern outline.
Why are cushion cuts often set in a halo?
A halo of small stones repeats the rounded square outline and makes the center stone look larger.
Will the gold plating last?
Plating wears gradually with use. Put the ring on last, take it off first, and keep it away from water, lotion and perfume. Our warranty covers plating defects within 90 days of purchase.
What ring sizes are available?
US sizes 5 to 9, with free size exchanges. See our ring size guide.
