Emerald Cut Moissanite Rings
The emerald cut is a step cut: a rectangle with cut corners and long, parallel facets that run along the stone. In place of the many small sparkles of a round brilliant, it gives broad flashes of light across a clear, open surface. Moissanite's high dispersion adds color to each flash.
The shape reads clean and architectural. A solitaire shows the outline at its simplest, three stone designs add stones at the sides, and a hidden halo places a row of small stones under the center that shows from the side. Browse our radiant cut rings for a rectangle with brilliant sparkle, or all engagement rings. Our guide to engagement ring shapes compares all nine. See how the two differ in emerald cut vs radiant cut.
Emerald Cut Moissanite Rings FAQ
Why does an emerald cut sparkle differently?
It uses long, flat step facets in place of the many small facets of a round brilliant. Light leaves the stone in wide flashes, which gives a calm, mirror-like shine.
What is the difference between emerald and radiant cuts?
Both are rectangles with cut corners. The emerald cut has step facets and broad flashes. The radiant cut has brilliant facets and a more scattered sparkle.
What is a hidden halo?
A row of small stones set under the center stone, below the line of sight from above. It shows from the side and adds sparkle without changing the outline.
What ring sizes are available?
Women's rings come in US sizes 5 to 9, and size exchanges are free. See our ring size guide.
